The World Internet of Things Exposition 2025, themed “Intelligent Connectivity, Infinite Frontiers,” is taking place in Wuxi, China, from October 31 to November 2. The event serves as a global stage for showcasing innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT) and its integration with artificial intelligence (AI).

This year’s expo features a 50,000-square-meter IoT Products and Applications Exhibition at the Taihu International Expo Center. The exhibition is divided into four major sections: Industry Applications Hall, IoT Capabilities Hall, Intelligent Connectivity Ecosystem Hall, and Smart Life Hall. Nearly 400 companies are presenting their latest IoT solutions, with more than 1,000 guests in attendance, including representatives from over 50 Fortune Global 500 companies and numerous international experts.

Since its upgrade in 2016, the World IoT Expo has grown into the largest national-level IoT exhibition in China, solidifying Wuxi’s reputation as a major hub for IoT development. The city has established China’s only national-level advanced manufacturing cluster dedicated to IoT, with large-scale enterprises generating over 250 billion yuan in revenue. This growth marks Wuxi’s evolution from an IoT pioneer to a global IoT innovation leader.

Experts at the event highlighted the strong synergy between IoT and artificial intelligence. IoT provides the real-world foundation needed for AI to interface with physical environments, while AI enhances IoT systems with intelligent capabilities. The fusion of the two technologies is expected to accelerate digital transformation across multiple industries.

Wuxi continues to advance intelligent innovation across its IoT infrastructure. Key development areas include connected and autonomous vehicles, industrial IoT systems, low-altitude intelligent networks, and satellite internet. By integrating these technologies with AI, the city is shaping a new chapter in globally competitive IoT development.
