Polimorphic Raises $18.6 Million Series A to Transform Government Services with AI

Polimorphic, a company using AI to digitize resident services for local governments, announced an $18.6 million Series A funding round led by General Catalyst, with continued support from investors M13 and Shine. The funding will expand Polimorphic’s efforts to make government services more efficient, accessible, and human-centered for residents across the United States.

Local governments face growing demands for modernization, yet only 20% of the U.S. government’s annual IT spending of over $90 billion is devoted to technology upgrades. Many cities and counties struggle with repetitive manual tasks like answering phone and email inquiries, processing paper forms, and searching across disconnected systems—highlighting a critical need for AI-driven solutions.

Polimorphic’s platform, including AI Front Desk, Constituent Relationship Manager, and analytics tools, enables governments to provide online access to services 24/7, in over 75 languages, while improving operational efficiency for staff.

CEO and Co-founder Parth Shah said, “With this funding, we’re accelerating our mission to be the AI company for government efficiency, making public service easier, faster, and more human for everyone. Our tools help staff serve residents efficiently, build trust, reduce burnout, and unlock capacity for real community impact.”

Impact and Achievements

  • Up to 90% reduction in voicemails
  • 75% reduction in walk-in requests

Polimorphic serves cities, counties, state agencies, and special districts nationwide, including the City of Pacifica, CA, Tooele County, UT, Polk County, NC, and Town of Palm Beach, FL. The new funding will accelerate growth in states including Wisconsin, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, and California.

Jess Savidge, Administrative and Communications Manager for the Town of Palm Beach, FL, praised Polimorphic’s platform: “Their team has exceeded every standard through innovation, responsiveness, and commitment to excellence, enhancing our digital presence and customer service.”

Future Plans

The funding will drive new GovTech features, including:

  • AI Front Desk with voice line, chatbot, search, SMS, and email
  • GIS-based resident support
  • Agentic AI application reviews
  • Advanced analytics and additional AI features

Sreyas Misra, Partner at General Catalyst, added, “AI is the jet fuel enabling adoption of modern government platforms. Polimorphic makes it possible for local and state governments to automate complex workflows end-to-end.”

M13 General Partner Latif Peracha commented, “By digitizing how residents and cities interact, Polimorphic reduces inefficiencies and saves billions of dollars in wasted time and resources.”

The funding will also allow Polimorphic to triple the size of its sales and engineering teams, supporting its mission to help governments of all sizes deliver better services to residents.
