PROtect, LLC, a leader in safety, reliability, and compliance services, has announced a strategic partnership with sentin GmbH to integrate advanced artificial intelligence (AI) into industrial inspection services. This collaboration makes PROtect the first inspection provider in North America to deliver comprehensive AI-powered inspections as a service.

The partnership begins by transforming Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes, automating key tasks such as defect detection, measurements, and quality validation. Using sentin’s proprietary AI platform, inspection data is analyzed with enhanced speed and consistency, eliminating human error and setting a new benchmark for reliability. Future plans include expanding to additional NDT methods, inspection types, and advanced data analysis services.

“While our competitors continue using manual interpretation methods by default, we’re implementing technology that fundamentally changes how inspections are delivered,” said Nathan VanderGriend, CEO of PROtect. “This is all about providing the most accurate and efficient inspection service for our customers.”

The solution addresses long-standing industry challenges such as inconsistent inspector results, time-intensive manual analysis, and missed defect risks. With AI-powered automation, PROtect now provides faster turnaround times, improved data quality, and reliable compliance validation for its clients.

“PROtect’s commitment to innovation and extensive industry relationships make them the ideal partner to demonstrate AI’s transformative potential,” said Christian Els, CEO of sentin. “Together, we’re establishing new standards for modern inspection services.”

The collaboration integrates sentin’s EXPLORER platform with PROtect’s field inspection services, creating a comprehensive solution that can be offered to nearly 1,000 customers across industries including chemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, power generation, construction, manufacturing, and renewables.
