wexler.ai Secures $5.3M to Transform Litigation with Real-Time AI Fact-Checking

wexler.ai, the AI platform for complex litigation, announced a $5.3 million seed round led by Pear VC, with participation from Seedcamp, The LegalTech Fund, and pre-seed lead investor Myriad Venture Partners. The funding coincides with the launch of Wexler Real-Time, a legal fact-checking tool that flags false or inconsistent testimony live during depositions and hearings. The platform is already in use by global firms such as HSF Kramer, Goodwin Procter, and Addleshaw Goddard.

Since its 2024 pre-seed round, wexler.ai has increased ARR by 20x and reduced manual review by at least 75%, helping law firms and corporate legal teams establish facts faster and more accurately. Long-term partner Clifford Chance has integrated wexler.ai across its dispute resolution practice, while Burges Salmon has also adopted the platform to enhance legal workflows.

“We’re replacing slow, manual, and error-prone litigation review with a system that thinks like a litigator but operates at machine scale and speed,” said Gregory Mostyn, co-founder and CEO of wexler.ai. “With our newest release, litigators can not only build winning case strategies but also challenge inaccuracies as they happen in proceedings.”

“At Pear, we love partnering with ambitious founders tackling big problems with unique tech,” said Kathleen Estreich, Partner at Pear VC. “wexler.ai is becoming essential infrastructure for litigation, combining real-time fact-checking with workflows designed for how lawyers win cases.”

Purpose-Built AI for Litigation

Unlike broad legal AI tools, wexler.ai is specifically designed to think like a litigator. The platform delivers verified, actionable facts quickly, replacing slow and error-prone factual analysis. Tasks like building detailed chronologies, previously taking days, can now be completed in about an hour.

“Litigation is complex and high-stakes, and wexler.ai is redefining how lawyers uncover and use facts,” said Tom Wilson, Partner at Seedcamp. The system extracts, analyzes, and verifies key factual information across massive case datasets, with support for up to 500,000 documents per upload and multilingual deployments, enabling firms to manage modern disputes efficiently.

BigLaw Adoption & Global Expansion

Top-tier law firms in the U.S., UK, Europe, Canada, and APAC have rapidly adopted the platform. Users report significant reductions in review time and enhanced confidence in case strategy. Over 70% of wexler.ai users are in the U.S., with growing adoption in other major markets.

“We like Wexler’s accuracy and litigation-focused design,” said David Hobbie, Director, Knowledge & Innovation at Goodwin. “Our lawyers find it invaluable for early case assessment and identifying conflicting evidence. We look forward to expanding adoption and exploring new features like real-time fact checking.”

The new funding will accelerate product development, scale document processing to millions per upload, expand engineering and commercial teams, support the U.S. launch, and enable multilingual, region-specific deployments. Built with privacy and security in mind, wexler.ai employs user-specific encryption keys, data masking, and complies with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, and AWS Cloud Security standards.
