Dataiku Welcomes Maxwell Long as President and Chief Revenue Officer

iTech360Hub | 5 min read | Press Release

Dataiku, the Platform for AI Success, has announced that Maxwell Long has joined the company as President and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). A recognized leader in the software industry, Long will spearhead Dataiku's next phase of growth worldwide, leading global sales, customer success, and partnership teams, reporting directly to Dataiku's co-founder and CEO, Florian Douetteau.

Long is a tenured executive with over three decades of experience building and scaling commercial teams for global technology companies, including Microsoft, Adobe, and NetApp. He joins Dataiku from his most recent position at Smartsheet, where he served as President of Go-to-Market (GTM), leading a global team of over 2,300 people. During his tenure, he grew the company from hundreds of millions in ARR to over $1 billion and helped lead the company's $8.4 billion acquisition by Blackstone and Vista.

Prior to Smartsheet, Long spent three years at NetApp in several senior leadership roles, including Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and SVP of North America. There, he led the worldwide team that generated over $3 billion in sales across North America, grew the company's Cloud Sales ARR to just under $600 million, and spearheaded the transformation to a cloud-led, data-centric software company.

"Max has done this before, built commercial organizations that turn a strong product into durable, scalable growth. At a moment when our customers are moving from AI experimentation to production, that's exactly the kind of leadership Dataiku needs."

— Florian Douetteau, Co-founder & CEO, Dataiku

A Track Record Built for This Moment

Long's appointment signals Dataiku's intent to accelerate from strong product-market fit to durable global revenue growth. His career has been defined by exactly this kind of transition — taking companies with proven platforms and scaling their commercial operations to reach enterprise customers at scale across complex, multi-region markets.

With the enterprise AI market moving decisively from experimentation into production deployments, Dataiku is positioning itself as the orchestration layer organizations need to govern, deploy, and scale AI responsibly. Long's mandate spans sales, customer success, and partnerships — the full commercial infrastructure required to bring that capability to every major enterprise ready to move from AI ambition to measurable AI outcomes.

"Dataiku has built something rare: a platform enterprises trust for AI when the stakes are real. The market is moving past demos and experimentation. Every major company now has to turn AI into a repeatable source of business results, with the governance to scale it safely. I'm convinced Dataiku is built for this moment. My focus is making sure we bring that capability to every organization ready to move from AI ambition to AI success."
