Aspire Moves Beyond Payments Into AI-Powered Accounting
Singapore-based fintech company Aspire is expanding beyond business payments with the launch of AspireBooks, an AI-powered accounting platform designed to automate bookkeeping, reconciliation and financial reporting.
Announced on October 26, 2026, the platform brings accounting capabilities directly into the financial system businesses already use to manage their money. The launch marks Aspire's entry into the accounting software market, traditionally served by platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks.
The new product aims to address a common challenge faced by growing businesses: managing payments and accounting through separate systems, which often creates additional administrative work and delays financial reporting.
AI Agents Automate Bookkeeping and Reconciliation
AspireBooks uses AI agents to automate several routine accounting activities.
The platform can automatically classify financial transactions, recommend accounting categories and tax treatments, and match payments against invoices and bills.
Instead of manually organising financial records at the end of each month, businesses can review and approve accounting entries as transactions happen.
The platform also supports general ledger management, bill processing and invoice management. Its continuous bookkeeping approach is designed to keep financial information updated without requiring businesses to reconstruct their records during month-end closing.
Real-Time Financial Reporting and Multicurrency Support
Another key feature of AspireBooks is its ability to generate financial reports as transactions are recorded.
Businesses can access updated:
Profit and loss statements
Balance sheets
Trial balances
General ledger reports
The platform also supports multicurrency accounting, allowing businesses operating across different markets to manage transactions in multiple currencies.
Through Aspire's Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, users can ask questions about their financial statements in plain language and receive recommendations based on their financial information.
The company also plans to introduce multi-entity accounting, which will allow businesses to manage the books of multiple entities through one platform.
Built With Singapore Accounting Experts
Aspire developed AspireBooks in collaboration with Singapore Accountants, which provided accounting expertise, helped align the platform with Singapore accounting standards and supported product testing with customers.
According to Aspire's internal research, 41% of its customers still manage bookkeeping manually, while 63% would be willing to use an AI-powered accounting solution.
These findings highlight the opportunity for financial technology providers to simplify accounting processes through automation and integrated software.
Aspire CEO and Co-founder Andrea Baronchelli said the platform aims to bring banking and accounting together so businesses can manage their financial activities without treating bookkeeping as a separate monthly task.
Pricing and Availability
AspireBooks is currently available to businesses in Singapore at a subscription price of S$39 per month, with a three-month free introductory period.
The company serves more than 50,000 businesses across over 30 markets and has a workforce of more than 500 employees across nine countries.
The launch represents a broader expansion of Aspire's business model, moving from payments and financial management towards a more integrated corporate finance platform.
The Growing Role of AI in Business Accounting
The introduction of AspireBooks reflects a wider shift in fintech, where companies are embedding AI into everyday financial operations.
By combining payments, bookkeeping, reconciliation and reporting, Aspire aims to reduce manual administrative work and provide businesses with more current financial information.
As AI-powered financial tools continue to develop, the ability to automate routine accounting tasks while maintaining professional oversight could become an important differentiator for business finance platforms.
For Aspire, the success of this expansion will depend on how effectively it can attract businesses already using established accounting software and demonstrate the value of managing payments and accounting within a single platform.
