Crypto exchange OKX has secured fresh strategic investment from Circle, Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), Ripple and SC Ventures, the investment arm of Standard Chartered, at a $25 billion pre-money valuation. The exchange did not disclose the amount raised.
The investment extends OKX's earlier funding round led by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, which invested in the company in March at the same $25 billion valuation.
The four new investors already have business relationships with OKX. Circle provides stablecoin infrastructure through USDC, QRT supports institutional liquidity, Ripple brings payments and stablecoin capabilities, while Standard Chartered is involved in custody for BlackRock's tokenized Treasury fund BUIDL.
OKX says the new capital will support its expansion beyond crypto exchange services into a broader financial technology and onchain infrastructure platform, including tokenized real-world assets and institutional markets.
